WINSLOW — A.C. Moore has announced plans to "exit retail operations" and shed its chain of more than 145 arts-and-crafts stores.

"Unfortunately, given the headwinds facing many retailers in today'due south environment, information technology fabricated it very difficult for us to operate and compete on a national level," Anthony Piperno, the concatenation'southward CEO, said Mon.

"Plans for closing specific A.C. Moore locations will exist shared in the upcoming weeks on our website," Piperno said in a statement.
